The Role

The purpose of the Inventory Coordinator role is to facilitate the clearance of inactive stock from Christie’s warehouses as well as ensure the JDE system is accurate.  The Inventory Coordinator will follow the stock clearance procedures to ensure stock is cleared in adherence to US law & Christie’s policies. The Inventory Coordinator may represents Christie’s to clients, embodying the business’ core values and upholding our Client Service Standards. Their primary focus will be to communicate with Christie’s clients via email and/or telephone, so the person in this role should be driven to perform exceptional levels of client service.

Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to
  • Liaise with key stakeholders within the business to coordinate collection of items
  • Follow stock clearance process to contact clients regarding items marked for clearance
  • Strong ability to address any client queries and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Liaise with Specialist departments to confirm re-valuation sessions for items marked for clearance and arrange movement of stock accordingly
  • Work closely with Post Sale Service and/or Client Service to arrange payment for any unsettled charges and complex client queries outside of clearance process 
  • Coordinating item lists & send on to Art Loss Register for review
  • Update Christie’s client system with results of client contact and update CTL
  • Keep detailed & accurate statistics on client contact & other tasks involved in the project, whilst providing regular reports to line manager
  • Comply at all times with Christie’s policies on data protection & client confidentiality
  • Comply at all times with Christie’s client service standards
  • Other tasks & projects as assigned by line manager
The Candidate
  • At least 2 years’ experience of customer service
  • Ability to reflect the image and standards of Christie’s in all situations in accordance with Client Service Standards
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills 
  • Excellent IT Skills (excel, word and PowerPoint). A good understanding of Christie’s systems desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work professionally and responsibly with all other areas within the business
  • High degree of organisation skills with ability to multi-task, prioritise, and follow up promptly
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
